Jesus

The Salt Company is all about Jesus. We believe the whole Bible is ultimately about him and the good news that he saves sinners like us. And so, from our Bible teaching to our worship to our weekly connection group gatherings, everything at Salt ultimately points back to him. We believe he really lived, died, and rose from the dead and we believe that he is the only means of salvation. And because you don’t need to be perfect to get to Jesus but rather just come as you are, you don’t need to be perfect to be apart of Salt— there’s only one perfect person at Salt, and his name is Jesus.

The Local Church

A distinguishing aspect of The Salt Company is that we are the college ministry of a local church here in Madison: Doxa Church. We believe that the best place for a college student to thrive in their walk with Jesus is in the context of a local church, and so we see Salt as simply one piece of a larger, multi-generational faith community. Doxa was started with the desire to be a blessing to both the city and the campus, and our hope is that for every Salt student, Doxa could serve as a church family away from home during their time here at college. Doxa Church meets every Sunday, in-person and online, at 10am at 2700 Novation Pkwy.

The Salt of the Earth

Our hope and prayer is that The Salt Company - Madison would help every student know and love Jesus, have a love for His church, and then follow Him for the rest of their life. While we hope that we can be a part of an incredible 4-year college experience, the ultimate win would be that every student of Salt Company go and be “the salt of the earth” (Matthew 5:13) wherever they go after college and for the rest of their lives.
